Have you got “CRC" error message, you’ve come to the right place, because I am going to show you how to get rid of it CRC refers to Cyclic Redundancy Check error. The CRC error reported by the hard drive when it has bad sectors. You can repair bad sectors but all depends on what causes it. This can be for a variety of reasons such as:
1. Poor cabling
2. Magnetic anomalies
3. Mechanical & Electronic related issues
4. Hard disk microprogram corruption
Poor cabling is easy to handle only you need to replace IDE's data cable with a new one. About 50% of bad sectors are due to magnetic anomalies and can be fixed easily. But mechanical or electronic issue for a sector is clearly impossible to fix it or you have to pay a specialized corporate to retrieve your data.
If CRC error arises due to Hard disk microprogram corruption then you can run Checkdisk to clean up the Hard disk problem. But After running this command , you will lose all your corrupt data. If your corrupt data is not value for you , perform following steps:
For Using Checkdisk perform these steps:
Click Start>>select Run>>In the box, type cmd>>Click Ok>>type chkdsk D: /r
System may report after completing this process. To overcome from this situation, system needs to reboot to perform full clean process, and it may take quite a while to complete.
If you want to recover all your corrupt data then hard drive data recovery software is the right tool for you. Hard drive recovery software are easy to use & retrieve corrupt data form external & internal hard drives. It saves all recovered data on user-defined location.
Note: If you want to get rid of CRC error, run CHKDSK regularly, make back up of the data. Don't wait till CRC error reported otherwise you will regret.
